I have yet to hear this rumor. I dont think it would happen though. I think Kasey is pretty darn happy being the main man in the Evernham camp. And after days like today, I think he will remain in the 9 for a very long time.
VtBowhunter
Re: Rumors on Kahne So far, the only driver to be a lock for Toyota next year is Michael Waltrip, and he's slated to be the main driver, so this Kahne thing is just a wild rumor. VermontHunter
Re: Rumors on Kahne This is what Team Toyota had to say about signings.... [ QUOTE ] After the fiasco centering around the Kurt Busch and Jamie McMurray signings of midseason a year ago, Toyota said it wouldn't announce any other driver signings until after the season. It was speculated that Robby Gordon would make the move to Toyota. But Gordon said he had no announcement to make and he planned on driving Chevrolets with DEI motors in '06. [/ QUOTE ] I got this qoute from NASCAR.COM.... http://www.nascar.com/2006/news/headlines/cup/01/24/mwaltrip.bdavis.toyota/index.html But who knows this was said in Janurary... AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Rumors on Kahne Probably just a rumor, don't put much faith behind it. Kahne has a pretty good thing going with Ray and I am sure he is not going anywhere for awhile. Season is only 4 races in and already the rumors are flying!!!! WOW!!! Randyman
Re: Rumors on Kahne Seems like the "Silly Season" starts earlier and earlier every year!
slugshooter
Re: Rumors on Kahne [ QUOTE ] I really don't know if I can have Kahne as my "driver" next year now [/ QUOTE ] So you wouldn't pull for Kahne if he were driving a Toyota? I am a Jeff Gordon fan through and through and I could care less if he drove a Chevy,Ford,Dodge, or Toyota. He could put any one of those cars in victory lane, and that's the important thing. VermontHunter
Re: Rumors on Kahne I wonder how all of those chevy owners feel out there, that have Toyota manufactured engines in there cars..... IT TRUE folks, do a search, Chevy and Toyota have been inter-mixing parts for years.... To me a car is a car,, it's the driver and crew that gets it to victory lane.....
