LifeNRA
How tight should a insert be when glued into the shaft? I bought a dozen arrows today, five of the twelve arrows were loose. The others went in tight to the point where I had to push them in pretty good! I have five arrows that wobble when a broadhead is installed. I believe these are the ones that went in loose. Not sure though.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Then I have five arrows that might fail! I marked them so when I finaly wrap and fletch Ill keep them seperate from the others. Just throw field tips on them. Or maybe get some new inserts when the fail. Thanks Luke! Oh BTW, since AAE doesnt make a white fletch in the SpeedFlyte vanes. I decided to get a 100 pack of Killer vanes for this dozen! ALL WHITE fletchings, wraps, and nocks! I know which vane needs to be on top according to the nock! Gonna try all three vanes the same color. Thats the beauty of doing your own wraps, just rip them off if you dont like them!
VermontHunter
Re: Inserts??? I wonder why AAE doesn't make a white speedflyte fletch.... I've seen all white wraps and fletchings... It's a real sharp setup, I think you'll like it... Just how loose were those insert anyhow ???

[/ QUOTE ] Well, lets just say they fell right in, no resistance. Except the last 1/8" right before the end collar. Even then I didnt have to push on them very hard into the shaft. I used the same glue as I use on the vanes, so once it sets I dont think they will move very well. Also used the G5 and squared both ends of the shaft. The nock end was not square at all! Now I am kind of glad I kept that tool!
VermontHunter
Re: Inserts??? I would say as long as you had some resistance, you'll be fine, and shouldn't have any problem with those inserts.... That G5 is a heck of a tool,, NEVER get rid of it.
