beagleboy
Saw a show on Discovery channel last night about ice road drivers who made their own roads through the Northern Teritorries. So awesome to see how they plot their roads in the summer and how they make their ice roads in the winter. My hats off to the drivers who drive their rigs over the frozen lakes to deliver goods. Shaun_300
Re: Ice road drivers Yep, there's lots of roads like that! Pretty neat driving on ice. I take my Cavalier out on the Ottawa River here... A lot of people will bring a truck with a camper on back and go out for a weekend ice fishing excursion too! craig mack
Re: Ice road drivers Yeah I saw that show too. Those guys are something else. I like how they get one out if it goes through the ice.
Muff
Re: Ice road drivers we use to drive the ice here between kingston and Wolfe island....but about 15 years ago a family went to the bottom of the lake....the father got out but his son, daughter and wife did not.....now there is laws that do not lets us drive the ice anymore. Palssonater
Re: Ice road drivers My old man delivered fuel to Northern Manitoba on Ice Roads for years. Hard on the body, but at least he had nerves of steel. He also ran the bulldozer on the ice, and found the bottom of the lake with it once in a while. Not for me....
