But deerslayer06, you need to stick to the facts yourself, that statement is about as far from the truth as you can get.... Gordon is usually the first to admitt to a bonehead move,,,, His actions when got out of his car were uncalled for and out of character,, but if you want to really boil it down Matt was a 5th, place car at best... First off, the announcers said Gordon had bumped Kenseth up out of the way for position. Second, Kenseth did not intentionally spin Gordon. And it doesn't matter whether it was lap 1 or 499 poeple bumped people out of the way for position the whole race. Did you not watch it? Kenseth got bumped by Busch when he would've won! Is anybody complainning??? NO! kenseth apologized to Gordon, they will work it out, did Jeff have a right to be PO, yeah, but so did Kenseth. It is just racing at Bristol, been that way forever, I am a Kenseth fan and was very angry when he got knocked up the track by Busch but hey that is Bristol. Get over it. About the Gordon helmet deal, every time i seen a driver after the race he takes hit helmet off inside the car. Why didnt gordon do that? did he know he was gonna go get into an altercation with kenseth and keep it on for safety? who knows. but my point is drivers take their helmets off inside the car from what i have seen. I don't think it was the intention of either driver to fight,,, the shove just happened.... and it shouldn't have. Nobody was gonna get hurt? kenseth coulda fell backwards and hit his head on something. gordon did shove him pretty hard. Gordon should be suspended one race. Jimmy Spencer was sat down a week. granted spencer threw a punch but both was physical contact. I don't care who you are, NASCAR may give him, and I stress may, give him a fine, but they can't justify a suspension for a push. Now, if he had pushed him down, jumped on top and started wailing on him, thats a different story altogether. The only ones who want to see Jeff get suspended for a push hate him anyway and will cry favoritism, but if Jeff gets a suspension for a push, then Stewart needs to sit out the rest of the year for the crap he's pulled out there this year. "Actions detrimental to stock car racing" fine and hopefully suspension. Nascar need to be more consistent with the calls. Punk, Watch and Nascar show and you will see the Gordon interview. Why would he say he hit him when he didnt? If you watch the replay Gordon gives the "Bristol Bump". am i mad at the bump? nope just racing. Did Kenseth screw up? yep and he admitted it. If gordon gets nothing out of this crap will hit the fan. I dont want to go back in time but JR gets fine and points for swearing. Gordon shoves someone and could get away with it? To me shoving, hitting or any aggressive physical contact is far worse than cussing. There should be fine and suspension if not suspension take some points away.
