Gator
Re: Fish Finder? I have an Eagle that I use, think it ran me about $80. It does the trick. Bass Pro carry's one that I wish I had, it has the transducer, unit, wiring all in one peice, it clamps to the boat just like a trolling motor. hutchies
Re: Fish Finder? Here is what I have on my little 14' jon boat. It has water depth, sensitivity, water temp, backlight, all the nice stuff for a pretty cheap price. http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.T...arTarget=browse
hutchies
Re: Fish Finder? Gator the one you are talking about is a handle with a stick that sits in the water right. It is portable form boat to boat. All you have to have is the base.

SuperMn106
Re: Fish Finder? My dad used to have one that the signal thing (dont know the word for it lol) that goes in the water, it was a suction cup type deal where you could suction it to the side of the boat near the bottom. Is this how the ones you guys have work?

If you want something portable or something easy to take off of the boat for storage or transport, that's the way to go.
jdickey
Re: Fish Finder? We used to run a Garmin on our trolling motor. It came with cable clamps and a zip-tie to attach the transducer to the t/m. Or just use a alligator hose clamp to attach the transducer to the bottom of your motor. Fairly accurate, especially in shallow waters, easy to operate, and read.
Shaun_300
Re: Fish Finder? I use an Eagle Strata 128, it's a GREAT fish finder. It's a portable one and the transducer just mounts to the back with a suction cup. I was worried about it flying off when I'm scooting down the lake, my 15hp on the light 14' boat will do 30mph wide open and it still stays on there good.
