clayman
Re: need some ideas Birthday party food... How about bbq goose sandwiches? You'll want to breast your geese. Rinse the breasts and place them in your crock pot, add enough water to cover the breasts and cook on low overnight. If you want you can add onioin or other spices just to help flavor the meat - but you will be adding bbq sauce to the mix later so flavoring at this point is purely optional. In the morning, remove the meat and shred it. It will absolutely fall apart with a fork. Dump the water from the crockpot and give it a good rinse. Put the meat back in the pot, and add 1 or more containers of your favorite BBQ sauce. Cook on low for a few hours until you are ready to eat, and then serve it on buns with chips or whatever other side items you might want to have. It's actually a very simple recipe and it works well for this type of a casual party. There is no specific amounts to follow: use as much meat as you think is necesssary, but the trick really seems to be in the amount of BBQ sauce you use, just use your best judgement. You can't really screw this up.
