bfletch7441
Looks like OU will be looking for a new men's hoops coach. Apparently Kelvin Sampson is headed for Indiana. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2387372 I think it's kind of crumby how he's leaving the Sooner program with all of the recruiting violations HE committed. They should follow the man that committed them, not the program he was coaching when he committed them. I do have to say that IU is getting a good coach though. Hopefully OU can take this opportunity to find a basketball coach on par with the talent they have in a football coach. Ben

Master_Chief
Re: Kelvin Sampson to IU I can't believe IU took him. From what I heard the sanctions the NCAA may levy could follow him. That can only hurt IU. Talk about another set of standards. Bobby Knight you are gone we don't like your attitude and your coaching style. Welcome Coach Sampson and your NCAA violating baggage. Let's see if you can win a championship.
Guest psejake16
Re: Kelvin Sampson to IU I'd rather have Knight at IU. He won games. I miss the Gene Keadys and Bob Knight battles. In todays game its all about being politically correct. Bob Knight had more support from the IU fans than any other coach that will every walk the sidelines at Assembly Hall. I think he is a class act and has been good for the Buckeyes.
bfletch7441
Re: Kelvin Sampson to IU We were talking about it here in the office, and thought it would be a good move, but highly unlikely, for OU to hire Scott Sutton from ORU. That would surely get Eddie drinking a lot more. Ben
buckbuster11
Re: Kelvin Sampson to IU Garbage. Just another example of how contracts mean squat nowadays. You wonder why kids are so spoiled or leave early to the NBA all the time, well look at the people that are supposed to be setting the example. This guy is about to get in Oklahoma in trouble with the NCAA so he gets out of his contract and jumps ship. Watch Oklahoma get some kind of probabtion or other penalty over this, meanwhile the guy that got them in trouble in the first place is up in IU having a good old time. AaronS
Re: Kelvin Sampson to IU Kelvin who? It wasn't IU or the IU fans that wanted Bobby gone, it was that dillhole little geek Miles Brand. He deserves a board upside his head, not a promotion to NCAA commissioner or whatever he is doing now. Bring back Bobby, not someone with baggage.
