muggs
Re: Indians sign Grady Sizemore... Is the Dodger's farm really that good Kev, got to be honest, don't know much about them. But best? Really? I'd have to give that nod to the Braves, and my Tribe is up there too (not the best but good). Have to agree to disagree about Jeter. Nice player sure, but not Hall of Famer caliber...just the gem of Bob Costas' eyes. I'm really surprised you made that comparision to A-Rod too. A-Rod is a legit MVP canidate yearly....Jeter isn't anyway close to that?? I think the media might be swaying the two of you on this guy. I give Jeter a lot of credit for his clutch hitting for sure...but it's easy to be a winner when you team's payroll quadruples most teams every single year. His rings were bought by Steinbrenner, that's it.

A-Rod has never won squat. Jeter has been the heart and soul of that team, he is all guts....just like you have been describing your boy Sizeless. Think about that, seriously. I'm not busting your chops here.
muggs
Re: Indians sign Grady Sizemore... Yeah, that's a good point John. He's gutsy, gritty, a clutch hitter, good fielder, but not Hall of Fame caliber. I'm saying this slow out loud so you can get it...J-E-T-E-R....GOOOOOOOOD......BUUUUUT.....NOOOOO....HAAAALLL OOOOF FAAAAAAAAMER.

[/ QUOTE ] Baseball America has the Dodgers 2006 squad ranked as the number one farm system. We have 6 players in the top 50! Just to bring the numbers into perspective, there's 30 teams in the majors... I can name them too, just like you.. Joel Guzman: 6'6" shortstop but we're making him move to left field due to Izzy and Furcal. Chad Billingsley: Great stuff. Reaches 95 w/Fastball and has two great offspeed pitches Andy LaRoche: Brother of Adam. Awesome 3rd base prospect. Projected 30-40HR's Russell Martin: Will start the season due to Navarro's injury. Moneyball guy. James Loney: Smooth swinging First Baseman. Jonathan Broxton: Power pitcher. Future closer. Not to mention Matt Kemp who won the Arizona Fall League MVP. As for Jeter, I believe the media has swayed you. You're negative of him because of the media attention he draws. I hate the Yankees, but still think Jeter is a class act and one of the best all around shortstops to play the game.
Tominator
Re: Indians sign Grady Sizemore... [ QUOTE ] Take it from a guy who watched almost every Tribe game last year, Grady was the heart of that team...period. [/ QUOTE ] So, do you dust your Sizemore shrine in your room, or do you get Sarah to do that? That point is even debatable. I'd say it was probably Hafner. muggs
Re: Indians sign Grady Sizemore... Sizemore and Crisp got that team going day in and day out. Hafner was huge, but I tell you what, Belliard was da MAN towards the end of the season.
MCH
Re: Indians sign Grady Sizemore... I'm lost. Are you saying it was Sizemore? Crisp? Hafner? or Belliard? and what about VMart?

[/ QUOTE ] Wow, that's impressive, plus we stole Franklin Guiteirrez from you guys, that would be another impressive name to add to that list. As for Jeter, like I said, nice player and he plays the game the right way (I respect him for that even though I hate him with a passion) but no way he deserves the Hall....or course I could say that about a lot of guys who are already inducted. They're to liberal with the amount of players they let in IMO.
MCH
Re: Indians sign Grady Sizemore... Yeah, I had just bought a BGS 9 Guitierrez Bowman Rookie and they up and traded him. I did come to appreciate Bradley, though. Day in day out he was one of our best performers. Just wish he could've controlled his temper a little better. But like I said, keep an eye out on our farm system. A couple future ROY's in my opinion. We may have to part with one or two come end of May, though. We've got some great reserves and a stacked bullpen that we can afford to give up but I'm sure either Dontrelle Willis or Barry Zito will command at least one prospect. muggs
Re: Indians sign Grady Sizemore... btw Kev, Bradley was a decent player here too, but that guy was a huge drain in the clubhouse, he walked out of a spring training game, two days later he was gone.
