Sports Injury

Hey y'all. Last February during lifting for football, I had a pain start hurting in my right hip. Then it went away, and was fine until January this year.

Finally, once into track season, I had to go to the doctor. He diagnosed it as me partially pulling a muscle off of my hip bone last spring and even at the start of this year. However, one night this year while I was doing high jump it hurt really bad and he thinks I could have possibly fully detatched the muscle from the bone.

Right now he says I can run. However, if it's partial, he says it will take a year or more to heal fully, but I would be able to play football my senior year but I will be out of track the rest of this year. If it is full, I will have to have surgery which will be painful, but it will be recovered and rehabilitated a lot sooner because it won't take that long, so I kind of hoping that it is a full detatchment, even though there will be more pain. lol.

If y'all could just send me some prayers, that would be nice. I've got to have a bonescan this Monday and then an appointment the next Monday with the specalist to decide what path we want to go depending on which it is.

Thanks y'all,

Greg

Re: Sports Injury

You got it pal. Prayers sent.

I know you don't want to hear this and may not understand but look to the future when you make your decisions. I know you don't want to give up your last year of HS sports but don't jeopardize the rest of your life for that.

Yes I am a father of a son who played football and volleyball, has had 2 knee surgeries and a shoulder surgery. Just being a Dad. smile.gif

Hope you resolve it soon.
