the best day i ever had trout fishing was in a pouring down rain on the white river in arkansas. it was raining so hard i dont think i needed the wadders. they were totally full when i got out of the water. one heck of a good time though. they couldnt get enough of the berkley power eggs.

My dad and I have caught a lot.... and I do mean A LOT of trout when it is absolutely pouring down the rain. He and I have stood in more thunderstorms than I can count...... hail, snow, you name it. For whatever reason though, they do seem to bite better sometimes when it's pouring down the rain like that. *shrugs* It's like it kick starts them to bite or something.

As the rain washes down food for the entire food chain. Starts a chain reaction of feeding.
