**Triple death in Illinois*****

It was an amazing youth season....the season is only April 1st and 2nd, tags are issued via lottery....and well, the birds seem to never cooperate. It all changed today...at sunrise, my son Hunter, his buddy Trevor were told to call in their own birds.....low and behold, they called in two jakes, as all gobblers were henned up already...perfect executed shots, and tags are filled....its 600am....so, I call my buddy Mike, as we had a non hunting friend with us, that was beside himself with us...he loved it, first turkey hunt ever, and a double at that.....back to Mike....I called him, and asked if any luck of gobbling had occured...he told me he and his boy had heard nothing...I told him to come down the road. Well, you guessed it...my son Hunter, and Trevor called his little boy another Jake in...and the shot was true. Three birds for the fryer in three hours.....we were truly blessed, and glowing smiles all around., and to top it off, my sons bird had frosted light tan wings...really great looking bird. al

Thanks so much buckee for posting the pics, and thanks so much for the kind words and phone calls...it will take years to replay all the joy those kids felt today....to make things interesting, we had a strutting tom no more than 85 yards breeding hens on a hillside, and he stayed and watched all his competitors get shot....and watched the photo shoot....we wished him well, and went to breakfast fit for kings....truly magical..if you can fit someone in the blind that has never been in the spring woods, please do it....it will come back 10 fold.....thanks again gang, and GOD BLESS AND GOOD LUCK.....AL

Al thanks for a great day. this will be a day with my son and my best friend, ya you (Al) that i will never forget. How great it must feel to be able to take someone out for a hunt and watch me get my very first deer and then a few months later take me and my son out and watch him get his first turkey. This was for sure a day that we will be braging about for a long time. I couldn't wait to get on the phone and tell all i could about the day we had. To see my son face lite up, that is priceless. Al, thanks for this great day in my son and I's life . Thanks Mike & Brandon
