I am a little upset that the broadcasters kept talking about Jeff's HUGE comeback from 26th and the didn't relly mention that Jr came back from 42nd.

You're kidding right? They talked about Jr. coming back just as much as they talked about Gordon's comeback, and rightly so. They both did a great job.

Stewart got really lucky with the last caution. Jeff was about to blow his doors off, and he got lucky again when Jeff got into the quickdry. Jeff was lucky he didn't wreck himself.

Great race.......and I was happy to see Kenseth do so well, LMAO. smirk.gif

Re: Tony Stewart

VtBowhunter,

I guess I should have said didn't mention Jr that much. I can only remember twice, that in actual race coverage, they mentioned it. Of course with 500 race recaps they mentioned it then but not during live coverage. It seemed like after Gordon cracked the top 10 everytime the camera was on him it was "Gordons having a great day coming back from 26th" They DID mention Jr. just not nearly as much is all.

How do you figure Gordon was gonna pass him? He was in 2nd for a couple three laps and didn't really make up any ground. Never got a chance to do anything when the 17 hit the wall. I was happy with the result, but it would have been cool to see Gordon at least put some pressure on the 20.

The 8 did pass a lot of cars. 42nd to 4th then back to about 15th. Up to the top ten, back to 15th. Then back up to 4th. He did a heck of a job to drive 498 laps without puncturing that right front.

Re: Tony Stewart

Chrud, I meant Stewart got lucky the last caution came out, because on the restart of the caution before, Gordon got a huge jump and had a run to Stewart's inside when the last caution flew........it was a great race, and i would have been happier if Gordon hadn't got into the quickdry on the last restart.

Re: Tony Stewart

Tony did good and all but I still don't like his new/old attitude. I just started liking him in the last couple of years too and then he pulls this crap at Daytona and almost every race since then. I just don't think he gives anybody the same respect he demands. Lot's of people respected him and showed it but I guess that's not enough. And to think, I was so happy to to have a champ other than a Rousche car. Should have gone with the No Personality at all Rousche drivers. Just kidding, I am still a huge Jr. Fan. He really did great this week and in the last few races. So far, he hasn't finished lower than 11th other than a miss-cue in Vegas where he finished in 27th. He had a top 15 car that day too. I think that as long as I don't get my hopes up during a race, he does fine. I jinxed him on the Vegas race when I told my wife that he would come in 15th or better. Then he pitted and everything went to heck in a hand basket. He's doing good and so is Gordon. Maybe those two did some talking while they missed the Banquet in NewYork last Fall. I think I'll wait and see what happens in the next couple weeks before I decide on how they'll do this season.
