One of my best spots is a SE slope with a large stand of pines at the top of the ridge that cuts the wind. During bad weather look for them in thick stands of pines down low or along creek bottoms. During fair weather they may roost high up on a ridge or in a solitary tree at the edge of a field. Weather has alot to do with it as they seem to be able to predict it. [/ QUOTE ] Good point, we have an oak ridge on my farm with some oaks that must have started growing soon after the dinosaurs died, HUGE old oaks that the turkeys love to roost in.
