hutchies
As much as I spend in that store you would think they would help a guy out. I just got off the phone with Andrew in the Archery department. Before that I talked to the store manager. They told me that they would not exchange my Illusion because they would have to take a loss on it. I called Jenny Kelly at Browning and Gander never even called her so I got us all on conference call and they guy lied to her. They flat out lied to me which I can't stand and on top of that they tell me they won't work with me except for warranty work which will take a at least a week. They just lost a customer. hutchies
Re: Gander Mountain just lost a customer. Cracked limb. Looks like most of my bowhunting turkeys is over for the year.
Newarcher
Re: Gander Mountain just lost a customer. Hutchies, Ditch the Browning and get a Reflex! It is affordable and you can have it drilling holes today. Sell the Browning after the warranty work is done. I had a bow shop let my Hoyt (that I bought from them) sit in their store for almost two weeks before shipping it out to Hoyt--during bow season. When I called they could care less that they forgot about it. I called Hoyt and had them return ship it to me and never paid the shop their money. Sorry to hear about the problems. AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Gander Mountain just lost a customer. Hope it all works out for you, that Browning is a sweet bow. Maybe find a cheap backup!
HarvDog
Re: Gander Mountain just lost a customer. I can understand your frustration but don't completely write them off for the mistake of one or two people.

[ QUOTE ] I can understand your frustration but don't completely write them off for the mistake of one or two people. [/ QUOTE ] Well Said...It's the individuals your dealing with at that location. I've had nothing but great service from the Gander Mountain I deal with in Cicero, NY. I'd write a decent and descriptive letter to the Corporate Headquaters and see what happens
wtnhunt
Re: Gander Mountain just lost a customer. That is too bad. Have never dealt with or been to a gander mountain store, but have some stores I will not do busines with for poor customer relations. [ QUOTE ] I'd write a decent and descriptive letter to the Corporate Headquaters and see what happens [/ QUOTE ] I would probably do this too. LETMGROW
Re: Gander Mountain just lost a customer. It truly is a shame how some of these large stores hire incompetent help and still seem to turn a profit. I go into my local GM and don't ask anybody anything. I know better. I look at a gun or something else, find something I like then go to a local dealer and have them order it for me. My little game of show and tell but it works for me. VermontHunter
Re: Gander Mountain just lost a customer. Man I'm suprised PSE, didn't jump all over them, of course having things lied about doesn't help the problem.... I would recall Browning/PSE back and give them a go again, and explain to them whats happening at this store, maybe even suggest bringing it some place else other than Gander Mountian... Sorry to hear your getting the short end of the stick hutchies, but with us consumers that's usually the case, but Im very suprised it's coming from PSE/Browning they are one TOP NOTCH outfit...and will usually bend over backwards to resolve issues.. I'd hope GM won't allow that stuff to happen at a local level.

My bow registration was not sent in when I bought the bow. PSE covered the warranty work I had done 9 months later and registered my bow anyways....thats good customer service in my book! hutchies
Re: Gander Mountain just lost a customer. Boys we got her handled I am the proud new owner of an 06 Illusion. I called Gander back and talked to the assistant manager, he said the only holdup was that corporate would jump all over them. I told him to ask Aron how much I spend in that store and I had my wife call corporate while I was on the phone with him. The District Manager told them to give that man what he wants because I am a valued customer there. Just got to keep climbing the ladder til you reach the right height.
