Canadian_Goose
Just barbecued 3 ruffed grouse after letting em soak in beer, then added a montreal steak spice and some bacon. Best grouse I ever had.

Master_Chief
Re: Ruffed Grouse It has been years since I have had grouse. What a great bird to not only eat but hunt. Nothing gets the heart beating like a grouse busting out right beside you.

Tominator
Re: Ruffed Grouse Yummy. Only been lucky enough to shoot one grouse. Personally, I thought it was a bit better than pheasant.

Shaun_300
Re: Ruffed Grouse Mmmm Ruffed Grouse (Or partridge, as we call them here... ) are awesome! The way I cook them is pretty simple, cut the meat off the breast, dip it in flour and fry it in butter. That recipe sounds pretty good, I may have to try that! [/ QUOTE ] That's a deal my friend. Around here you're lucky to see or hear one after stomping around for hours. If you actually get a shot on one, well, that's a bonus. Not too many of them around here, but they are good eating.
