buckee
Re: Sperm/egg Donations I think huntin_girl's thoughts on carrying her sister's baby for her, is the ultimate. What a pure act of love that would be for both the parents and the baby. It reminds me of the story in the bible about the two women, that came before King Solomon, both claiming to be the child's mother. My hats off to you
Guest PAT_PATTERSON
Re: Sperm/egg Donations Huntin girl, I don't know about this, donating I don't believe I would do, but for a woman to actually carry a baby to term even for the right reasons and then be able to give it away. Even though you're not the mother so to speak you are the mother of that child in the purest form. It would be a very tough decision for sure for any woman to make. I am just glad men don't have to make that decision.
StillLearnin
Re: Sperm/egg Donations The thought of someone elses sperm/eggs in someone elses body just kind of grosses me out. It's not for me. But someday I am planning on adopting a child. I was adopted myself and I cannot imagine what my life would have been like if my parents had not adopted me. Things seem so natural at home sometimes I forget that I was adopted. I think it is a wonderful gift to give a child a home, and I am very grateful to my parents. The funny thing is I look and act more like my folks than my brother who was not adopted.
dogdoc
Re: Sperm/egg Donations I have no problem with donating eggs/sperm but for me I don't think I could do it (actually can't now thanks to my father-in-law) but what I would actually really struggle with is knowing I have children out there and wondering if they a right with the lord. BowJoe
Re: Sperm/egg Donations Just to throw my hat into the ring. I think that if it's not done naturally then you are messing with GOD's work and should leave it alone no matter what the circumstances. More sins have come from good intentions than almost anything else. I think more baby's need to be adopted than their needs to be born anyway. That's just my oppinion. No where in the bible does it say mechanically insert the sperm into the egg and then place it into the woman's womb. God made the perfect reproductive system and delivery device known to man or woman. Well, except for porcuupines. Any one know how porcuupines mate? Very carefully.
