RyanH
Well guys the day for FULL of Action! And Buddy knew where some birds should be roosted at. We went there and hit the owl hooter, and next thing you know we are surounded with gobbles! After they flew down, it was a cat fight between me and the bird. There were no hens, and nothing but one other tom I believe and a few jakes! Well after about 30 min of working him he came on in to about 42 steps. I took the saftey off and let him have it. Down he goes! 10 inch beard left Spur- 1/2 inches right sput. 3/4 inches 23 pounds Im pretty disapointed on his spurs. That will kill his NWTF score. But still a good bird! Here he is! Here is a Pic with me and one of Alex's calls that I used. Beard Left Spur Right spur

Rhino
Re: Okie Opener Tom Congrats on your opening day success Ryan. Like Luke said, you shouldn't be disappointed with any mature gobbler that comes in putting on a show like that. The hunt is the trophy.
