High risk for severe weather

The news is calling for this area to be at a "high risk" this afternoon primarily starting after 2. We are right at the northern edge of the "high risk" area. The bad stuff has not quite gotten here yet, but we already had marble size hail falling earlier this morning when one small thunderstorm rolled through. More watches out here, with all of West Tennessee under a tornado watch until 8 pm, and they are calling for the weather to be probable of producing some tornadic activity. A severe thunderstorm warning here for the second time this morning has just gone into effect, and it is getting really dark again. Really dont look forward to more tornado warnings which are likely to come and really feel bad for those people who lost loved ones and property last Sunday.

Its time to move to Saskatchewan wtnhunt! We seldom have extreme weather like that. I drove through a severe storm in Michigan (upper) last summer and boy was it an adventure, 95 mph winds with hail and then rain and lightning. Couldn't see past the hood of the truck.

What county are you in wtnhunt???

Gibson county.

Had golf ball sized hail here hitting my truck and our roof this morning, had to run out and move the truck into the garage. There were some doppler indicated tornadoes in some counties around us this morning, but none here.

Scary thing right now is it has gotten sunny, very humid, and went from 68 earlier today when the last thunderstorm morved out to 79 in a little over an hour, temp is a little above 80 and still sunny now, but I am hearing some thunder.

I don't know how close Gibson county is to Nashville, but they just got hammered.

Hope you're OK William. crazy.gif

Yep Chris, they are reporting 11 fatalities in middle Tennessee from yesterdays tornadoes at this point. Was another terrible day for Tennessee. Nashville is about 2 hours east of us. Had a few tornadoes over this way, none as close as last Sunday though.

Total fatalities between Sunday and Fridays tornadoes is now up to 35 frown.gif. Been a really sad week.
