DU_man_84
Re: How do you rig your plastic baits? i like to fish 7 1/2 inch culprit plastic worms on a 3/0 hook and anywhere from a 1/4 ounce to a half ounce bullet weight depending how thick the cover
Shaun_300
Re: How do you rig your plastic baits? Carolina rig for me! I use a bullet weight for a sinker and a 2/0 or 1/0 hook.
BLH
Re: How do you rig your plastic baits? For a texas rig, use a 3/16 oz bullet weight above a 3/0 to 4/0 hook (depending on avg size of fish) where the sinker slides down to the eye of the hook. For a Carolina rig, use the same weight and hook size, just suspend the weight above a 20" leader with a barrel swivel. The longer the leader, the more action the bait will have as the sinker bounces across the bottom. Use the texas rig in dense cover or to bounce it down a rocky point. The carolina rig is good when fish are just of the bottom in deeper water. Hope this helps and good luck.
BamaTrophyHunter
Re: How do you rig your plastic baits? I Texas rig mine with 5/8 oz. weight, because i fish in alot of cover.
unioncountyslayer
Re: How do you rig your plastic baits? Even though I live in Carolina, it's a Texas rig for me. In the early spring I use a texas rig without a weight. Later in the spring and into the summer I use a texas rig with a bullet weight and bleeding red hook. I use Bass Pro's 10" or 12" Red Shad worms. They work great.
