Re: Is Everyone O.K.?

Still a bit worried about William. That lousy weather went right over the top of him again yesterday.

We had one supercell graze us yesterday around 5 p.m. Stiff winds, hail, and an utter downpour for about 10 minutes, then it was gone.

High of 78 yesterday, and I'd bet it's in the upper 30's here this morning. crazy.gif

Re: Is Everyone O.K.?

Hail and a bit of wind aside, most of the bad stuff missed us. Went to the south and east of us. Middle Tennessee got hit pretty hard. With 11 fatalities known at this time, that brings a total of 35 killed in the past week in the state of Tennessee.

From Fox 5 TV: Storms swept through the Atlanta area early this morning, causing "tornado-like" damage to homes and businesses in densely-populated suburbs, state officials said. Authorities say the storms damaged homes and businesses in Cobb, Fulton, Gwinnett and Hall counties. No injuries were reported. "The damage I've seen definitely looks like a tornado," Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine said.

I woke up at around 3:30a.m. to the sound of thunder but went right back to sleep. I live in Gwinnett county, but see no significant damage around here.

Wow, I hope some our Realtree friends down in the hard hit states are ok. I'm glad I live in NY where tornados don't really happen. A couple years ago a small one happened about 20 minutes away that broke alot of tree tops and took out a farm house but no major damage and definitel not like the tornadoes you southern people get! I'll keep you all in my prayers.
