Huntr104
Re: Which electric trolling motor??? Help So 40 lbs. of thrust should be sufficient? What are the benefits of a 12 volt system compared to a 24 volt system? What about battery size? Just curious how long I can expect to stay on the water. Shaun_300
Re: Which electric trolling motor??? Help Heck I have a Minn Kota 30lbs thrust, I use it on a 12' aluminum when I go to the lakes in the mountains, and on my 14' aluminum with a 15hp outboard on it to work the shallows. I think 30lbs is plenty! Once you get bigger than that, you'll go through the battery power like there's no tomorrow...
DU_man_84
Re: Which electric trolling motor??? Help 40 lbs would be fine i have a 15 foot jon boat and and i have a minn kota endura 36lbs on the back and a 40 lbs thrust minn kota foot pedal on the front, and i run the one on the back if i have to and i run it off my marine starting batter cause i have electric start for my 25 hp evinrude, and then i run my front troller off a 12v farm and fleet deep cycling marine battery and i can spend a good 8 hours on a lake with a full charged battery
