Re: *** GOBBLERBANE08 get well soon ***

Hi all, Dakota's dad here with a Monday night update!

Dakota has had lots of ups and downs today. He's been walking quite a bit today, but is still feeling weak. He's still hooked up to quite a few things. Doctors are still a bit concerned about his frequent low oxygen saturation levels. We're being more aggressive on his respiratory treatments to open his lungs more and to prevent pneumonia.

Dakota also has "heart block", which means the electrical signal that makes the chambers of the heart beat in sync is not occurring the way it should be. He is on a temporary pacemaker to correct the signal, and it is likely he will need a permanent pacemaker put in before he goes home from the hospital. Sometimes this will correct itself a few days after surgery, but the doctors may keep him a few days longer to see if it does. Please pray for Dakota regarding these issues.

Was reading the forum today with Dakota in total amazement about what you all are doing for him!! We are simply overwhelmed with your generosity!! I can see why Dakota loves to hang out with you all! I don't know what else to say but thank you, thank you, thank you!! God is using each of you as agents of healing during Dakota's recovery! His blood oxygen level actually improves greatly when he talks about hunting and what you all are doing! He's sleeping well as I write this, probably thinking of that huge 6x6 bull elk he may be chasing in September. MAY GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU!

Chuck Case (Dakota's very proud dad!)
