Finally...

Recommended Posts

All geared up and ready to Smoke!

I'll be burning some eggs this afternoon to get the scope dialed in.

Wolf 209 Magnum Break Action .50

Bushnell Sharpshooter Scope

295gr. Powerbelts

Goex FF

Winchester 209 Primers

CVA Brass Flask

T/C Hunter Powder Measurer

...and all the cleaning gear that probably anyone could buy(luckily I had half of the stuff already).

It's my first ML so I'm excited...I'm sure I'll have fun.

Took me awhile to get all the package together financially but I like the fact that its got me anxious to shoot and I'm sure I'll learn alot as I go.

So...How about some of those tips and tricks you could share that you people have been keeping secret??? tongue.gifgrin.gif

Re: Finally...

I had Fun!!!!!!!!!!!

I got familiar with it today...

I'm also out of bullets grin.gif

Got it on the paper and somewhat dialed in today.

I'l get serious about tack driving the next time out but I think it did fairly well.

Used 295gr Powerbelts...(all 16 that came in the package) grin.gif

Started out at 40yds/80gr ffg ...got the scope hitting where I wanted it to and spent the first 6 shots.

Stepped back to 100yds/90gr ffg/7shots also 125yds-same load/3 shots

(and yes...I janked up the last shot at 125 it went low)

Wet patch + Dry patch between each shot and had alot of fun:

Heres a pic of the Belts that I found about 70 feet out in front from where I was shooting:

Re: Finally...

That they are Luke!

Here's my first Newbie ML shooter Report:

Product# AC1682 CVA's Breech Plug Anti-Seize Stick

AC1682.gif

16 shots without removing the breech plug and all it took was a firm bump on the handle of the ratchet with a 12mm socket and it turned then just backed it out the rest of the way with fingers!

I've been told that not supposed to happen...figured I'd tell somebody about it.

Re: Finally...

Got back out shooting again today grin.gif

Went over to my buddy Daves and there was also another guy there shooting for his first time ever.

We all had fun and it was good for me to review everything cool.gif

I might be getting the hang of things a bit better wink.gif

Tried out a new bullet type to me and dialed in a 1-3/4" 3 shot group using 90gr. FFg and 230gr. TC Sure Fire Sabot HP cool.gif

I'm pretty sure I can do better! I had the video camera setup and filming until the battery ran out.

Shortly ago I watched myself pull too fast on the trigger and then make a comment something like "Pulled that one"!

DUH crazy.gif

Interesting thing at the time I didnt realize I was pulling fast.

When I settled down I hit what I aimed at...amazing correlation between how slow I pulled the trigger and how well I shot wink.gif ...funny how that happens right?? blush.gifgrin.gif
