Sam16
Guys i just remembered why i love to bowhunt so much. every year its the same thing during shotgun season, anticipation is high and your always so pumped. The first morning i only saw 2 does and my dad and cousin didnt see a thing. Granted we heard 40 something shots and made us sick. Then the first evening i get in my stand and at 4 oclock 2 guys on a 4-wheeler came real close to my stand, but not close enough to spot me i guess, that didnt help the hunt. Then abotu 15 minutes later i could hear people doing a drive on our property!!! All i saw then was a fawn doe. The next morning my dad shot a lil 6 pt cuz he was so mad... Then we hunted a spot where we didnt think any1 hunted, but didnt see any... I just hate having 100 people in the woods with you. Anyone else feel this way? GIVE ME MY PSE!!! Guest Finn
Re: Shotgun season... That's why I skipped the rifle opener in Wis. Just hate seeing folks when I'm hunting. I never see another person during the late bow season...I can't wait
Illinoisbowhunter
Re: Shotgun season... I know how your feeling, I have been out the last few days and have only sat to see one doe. The only nice buck I saw was standing right on the shoulder of the highway, he was a nice 8pt. There has been alot of fireing around me but I'm not seeing squat, most of the shooting has put the big boys nocturnal. I could honestly care less if we had shotgun season or not... Shotgun season usually gets me pumped, but not too much anymore when I dont see hardly any during the season, while bowseason I at least see a few everytime...
