Re: Your Bow Work Bench

MewelDeer-

I would like to offer one suggestion. A layer of masonite or plywood on the top surface may prevent small parts from getting stuck between the 2x4's.

I made all the benches in my shop with 2x6 plank tops and over the years, because my shop is so dry, the planks shrunk just a bit and left small gaps that are just big enough for small screws or sawdust to fall through. All the stuff on the shelves below eventually gets coated with dust and sawdust and anything else that can pass through the upper surface, and occasionally some tiny screw or other small part will go through and cause an aggravating time consuming search.

On one of my work-benches I put a layer of carpeting to work on some of the more delicate items where I may have to worry about scratching finishes, like my bows or guns. That seems to have worked out well.

It looks like you have done a heck of a job, and it looks solid and sturdy enough to park a truck up there. grin.gif Good job!
