RangerClay
First day of my vacation and I have two sick kids. A 5 year old and a 2 year old and both of the have the squirts. Uhg.......... This is my first battle with childhood diarrhea. I have been giving them Pedialite, toast and bananas. Am I missing anything? What do you do for your kids at times like this? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks Ranger

Turkeygirl
Re: Some vacation Yeah, skip the bananas. Oatmeal might help also; so do blackberries, but I don't think there are any growing right now in NY:-P Definitely keep them hydrated and good luck! I hope they get well fast! Muff
Re: Some vacation OH MAN I feel your PAIN...good luck. we also use Pedialite freezies....tricks them into thinking they are getting a treat.
wtnhunt
Re: Some vacation All the above mentioned is good. Potatoes are good. If you can get them to eat plain cooked potatoes cubed without any butter, it will give them energy that they are probably really needing. BowtechsWife
Re: Some vacation I am feeling your pain...sorry to hear it hit during vacation. Half of my daughter's 5th grade class came down with "stomach flu". Thought we would be one of the lucky ones..however it hit her today. We've been told to avoid all juices and sugar...stick with clear fluids and broth. Plain bread & crackers have been her ideal treat today.
