markyj987 Posted April 15, 2006 Report Share Posted April 15, 2006 Again, I have taken an unexcused absence and Scott might have to repo my 4-wheeler, but I hope y'all will forgive me. Things have been just crazy with work, school, work, and work--and any little bit of free time, I've been spending with Erin, the girl I met in July. Anyway, here's a brief rundown... First, I bought my first new car. I wasn't too keen on this model at first, but was extremely impressed with the way it handled--not to mention I could get it fully loaded for a good price. 2006 Ford Focus SES THEN, Erin and I went to opening day for the Brewers, a first for both of us. We had a great time, but the best was getting to meet Billy Dean. I was really impressed with him--what an awesome guy. Extremely friendly and sang God Bless America during the 7th inning. Really, the best rendition I've ever heard. We had had our first and second big arguements over stupid stuff (aren't most of them), but managed to work though our problems--and realized what we have is rare and precious. With the digital camera batteries about to kick the bucket, Erin's son Nate snapped this picture a week ago. Then last night, I went to her parents house to ask her dad's permission to marry her. To show I meant business (LOL), I brought the ring with me. Her parents gave their blessing and we went out for dinner. After we got home, we went to the lakefront, the site of our second date and sat on a hill overlooking the water. Though I wanted to wait a little bit, during a walk on the beach, the perfect moment came along, and I asked Erin to marry me. She said yes! I wanted to wait until the 4th of July, our anniversary to ask her, but I've learned that the perfect moment can't be planned. I should be around a little bit more with spring break coming up--and then the semester ending next month, but I wanted to make sure I came in right away today to share this happiest moment in my life thus far with my Realtree family.
