MrWiggely
I took a young nephew of mine out scouting this morning to see if the birds were talking yet. We got to our listening area about 5:45 and as we go out of the truck, I slammed the door and 4 birds gobbled instantly about 100 yards away. That had to be the easiest scouting mission I have had in a long while! Needless to say my nephew is all pumped up after the birds gobbled non stop for about an hour and a half. (a bunch of jakes Im sure) Wigs
Tominator
Re: Morning scouting without calls or locators That's funny. My buddy and I used to drive our lease real slow listening for close gobbles, and we tried to set up on them after that.

Born2Hunt
Re: Morning scouting without calls or locators Thats the way to do it. I've been scouting all my land this weekend and I've got more toms than you can shake a stick at.
