py_archer
Re: Homemade strutter.........(pics) So when you pull on a string his fan comes up? Cool! Be careful with that thing. I'm working on finishing up my own decoy, a hen I shot last fall and wrapped the feathers around a broken Delta decoy.

I'd be scared to hunt with that, some idiot would shoot that and I'd be in the line of fire! Be careful! [/ QUOTE ] My thoughts exactly 007! That's a great job, but if you tried that thing on public land here in Pa., you'd need full body armor!!!!
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Homemade strutter.........(pics) in Michigan it would be illegal to use the string on it to raise its fan, all decoys have to move via the power of mother natures wind....no strings or electronic ones allowed......guess that keeps SRA out of my hunting area! LOL!!! None the less, you have to like his creativeness!! I like it!!

FullStrutter
Re: Homemade strutter.........(pics) Well guys, it's great to throw up my first post. I have been a lurker on this forum for the last few months but this post did it!!! SWEET DECOY SRA!!!! I absolutly love it and was toying with the idea of making my own this weekend. I just bought a deek just like yours, may in fact be the same one. I was wondering how you actually attached the tail fan spread to the deek? Also, did you just stick the wing feather on each side into the foam and then duct tape them on the inside to point down? That what I figured I would do. Thanks for the info, I'd really appreciate it. My turkey season starts May 1st in NY and May 3rd in CT, you will be seeing a good handful of harvest reports coming soon!!
