Mashed potatos and a big pot of pintos on the side, and of course - homemade gravy! I'm not much of a sweets eater, but I make a pretty mean peach cobbler that works well for deseet. I put everything minus milk based products and sugar condoments like jelly or apple butter. I add every spice in the cupboard, mix with a can or two of beer, heat to blend the flavors, butterfly the meat, top with bacon, served with garlic mashed potatos, a side of corn on the cob and triple crown dinner rolls with sarghum. A Glass of tea and for desert, Peach cobbler. Talk about slap your mama, kick your dog good.
