VermontHunter
My father in law came over today and wanted to pattern his shotgun... Well let's just say his factory choke isn't going to cut it for Turkey hunting... So I need some help choosing and getting the right one.... Here's what he's got.... Franchi 612 VR 12 guage (Benelli Knock-off) it has the factory MOD. choke (knew that wasn't going to be good ) I used 3" Winchester Supreme #4's and #5's...and the pattern just sucked as you might of already guessed.. So what I need is a suggestion on what choke might work well for this weapon and round...and where I might get the best deal on a choke... Any help would be greatly appreciated.... VTbowman
Re: Need some Choke help.. .665 should work for him with 3" #6s. I found mine at walmart for under $15. I am getting an amazing amount of hits at 40 yards with mine. Just patterned mine last weekend. Did not cound how many holes in a 10" cicle cause I can't count that high.. LOL It was MORE then enough to drop that big ole Tom Josh has tied up for me...

AJ
Re: Need some Choke help.. The 612 uses tubes that interchange with Beretta/Benelli style threads. So you have a lot of choices to pick from. I would lean towards the .660" diameter tube and try a few different shells. As to who has the best deal, I have no idea.
