billkay
What are your patterns like? I was expecting mor eou of a TK2000. With my Rem. shotgun, I had a 2" hole in the target at 10 yards. With the TK I had a lot of pellets, but no defined hole. I had about 20 pellets in the spine and skull of the target at 20yards with the TK, and 6 pellets in the spine and skull at 30 yards. There were other pellets that hit the bird target, but weren't in the actual bone. Is this similar to your experience, or am I doing something wrong? Shoting 100grns of 777ffg and #5 shot. Guest rutnroy
Re: Who\'s Shooting a M/L Shotgun? i also shoot the tk2000 and had similiar results. i found that by lowering the powder charge my pattern got a lot better. i believe with the higher powder charge is blowing the pellet groups apart. i found my gun group real well with 85 gr. of 777. and there is still plenty of knock down power with the lower charge. two yrs. ago i got a tom at 45 yds. and one at 30 yds. . the one at 30 never moved after the shot. so i would recommend starting with 80-85 gr.of 777. let me know if this works out for ya. billkay
Re: Who\'s Shooting a M/L Shotgun? Thanks fr the advice. I dropped to 90 grains and it was like shooting an entirely new gun. Great patterns beyond 30 yards.
