Then I get to watch the Ducks and Flames go at it
SaskMan
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread Superguide, I wish I'd have seen you were having a draft last night earlier, I'm a bachelor for another day or 2. I'd have swung by, gave you some magazines back and picked a winner. I actually like the looks of your squad.

TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread Hey speaking of Toronto, they fired their coach. He took the team to the playoffs for like the last 4-5 years. They don't get in this year and they fire him . Anywho, the Bruins need to get him while he is free He would put the Bruins in the post season next year, guaranteed
drkillemquick
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread Yup he's gone and I don't think it was all his fault. The GM I think should be gone not Pat. The two of them have had a feud going(according to the press, so who really knows) and were obviously wanting to take the team in different directions. The last time we didn't make the playoffs was 98 and Pat took us to the "final four" twice. The teams I really like in the east is Buffalo and I hate to say it Montreal. Can never discount Philly or NJ either. Should be interesting! Like I have said before though I really like the western teams. I feel Detroit is overated. A good team but they won the Presidents tropghy due to an easier schedule. I wonder how they would have done in Toronto's division.(against Ottawa, Montreal, Buffalo). Still would be in the playoffs, but I don't think they would be tops.
TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread Man what a game between the wings and the oilers. They have played 4 full periods and they are still tie. They will now go into their 2nd OT peroid. Oilers are hanging in there

superguide
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread That goal Jeff Friesen scored was pretty sweet-nice hand/eye wonder if our home boy gonna go on a playoff run like when the Devils won their last cup. Anaheim and Calgary is a war-was a pretty sweet tilt between the two boys from the 'Dub' last night.
Tominator
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread My wife dragged me away from the set after the first OT. That's abooot the only thing that can tear me away from a game during the 2nd season.
TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread I don't know but the Devils are whooping up on the Rangers right now
superguide
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread Guess whose got Patrick Elias in his hockey draft-I don't necessarily like Europeans but man can I pick them. I see Jagr was pulling his wounded duck routine-some dummy picked him in his draft too-me lol. The rest of my guys are good North American boys who won't be needing a heart transplant for the playoffs.
TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread Their showing game 2 of the Wings and Oilers tomorrow. I hope they show the whole series, it's looks like it's going to be a good series between them two...with the Wings winning of course. I give the Oilers 1 game

They better step it up.

Looks like Edmonton won in Detroit.Pretty physical and entertaining game.
