superguide
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread Chelios did what every other cheapshot guy does in that situation-let the guy go by you and backstab him-he's very good at being the dirtiest player in the league-did ytou see him whining and crying after he sticked Smith in the face twice before he got a penalty call. That blown call on Detroit's winning goal was absolutely brutal-that was an interference call before the rule changes but to miss it when the Oilers were down two men already was even worse. Ohh well the Oil will be able to put them away on home ice in game six now.

[/ QUOTE ] ROFL you musta watched a different game then me ... what I saw Chelios do was stick up for his goalie getting knocked down and the blown call was irrelevant after the 4th goal ... they won by 2 ... oh I notice you didnt mention about the Oilers Blown 5 on 3 at the end of the second period ... but that probably didnt have anything to do with the loss either lol ... it was hardly a pick anyhow ... the guy fell down thats why there was a no call ... Chelios is a 44 year old veteran and does know how to play the game but he also was sticking up for his goaley like anyother player does ... Legasie didnt just fall down there ... superguide
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread Sticking up for your goalie or not he sticked the guy in the face then cried about it-Chelios is a gamer for sure but anybody who can't see how dirty he plays hasn't played or watched much hockey. As for that game winning goal you can't call absolutely everything on one team then miss a call like that when a team is already down by two men. The blown call was for sure not irrelevant-instead of a Wings penalty it was a Wings goal-not a big deal they're still going down.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread so what was he suposed to do? let the guy coming full speed hit him?? fact is he moved and the guy didn't stop and he hit the boards...no cheap shot there...just a smart hockey player knowing not to take a hit like that and as for lidstroms goal...the way i see it...lidstrom was skating across to get in position for a shot and the guy stuck his stick out ...then fell on the ice trying to get a penalty...the only contact made was to his arm and that was his own fault IMO... then datzuyk and zetterburg made the oilers look absolutly dumb on the last goal...that was great! The Rangers spit the bit pretty bad too.
