BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread [ QUOTE ] It's all good-now imagine if you'd ever had to play against me lol. In fact I love it when people get wound up about their team-Chelios is a guy you'd hate to play against but love to have on your team. Don Cherry had a good talk about Stevie Y tonight on Hockey Night in Canada-Stevie has nothing left to prove-to me he's one of the top 5 players ever-He should retire before he gets one more bad injury. Wings fans think about this-it could be worse you could be a Flyers fan-YIKES are they getting the wood put to them by Buffalo. [/ QUOTE ] WEll put superguide ... SaskMan
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread I like this thread and have to throw in my 2 cents now. Wings deserved to lose, didn't play at all like a #1 team. I have to wonder if the victory was bittersweet for superguide being a European set up another european for the winner. lol Here are my picks for the final 4. San Jose Calgary Ottowa New jersey Glad to see the wings lose even though I had a bunch in my draft, good to see the Canadia teams doing well but I also like seeing my old summer hockey teammate Mark Smith playing like he did in the summer of 2000 in the Saskatoon ASHL. lol Also good to see Patty Marleau playing like he is, all the hype about Cheechoo and Thornton and he's been thier best. I remember a young Saskaman playing AAA midget in Swift Current Saskatchewan saying this about a local AA bantam player "Marleau is **** good". I was right. I'm rooting for the sharks now. [/ QUOTE ] honestly..who doesn't complain about thier fav. team losing of some bad call? i have no hard feelijngs towards superguide...its two people voicing thier opinion on a game..or series...its what makes this world what it is...if there wasn't a difference in opinion this world )and this forum) would be one heck of a boring place as for your last comment...heck yeah chelios is a guy you love to hate...i HAAAAATEd him when he played for chicago but now that he is a red wing he is ok in my book but like you said aboot yzerman...he has nothing left to prove...but as a fan...you always hate to see your favorite player go... but like i said...no hard feeling towards you superguide...just two people with different opinions on something...we aren't name calling or anything...just saying whats on our mind about this particular subject....and we can all agree there are more important things going on in the world than some hockey game... superguide
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread I just knew that rotten little Saskman was going to point out the European flavour of the Oilers winning goal-it's hard to pick the next round-all I know is it's going to be great hockey. Kaare-Ty,Wazzy and Pickett all got invited back to your alma matters fall camp-the boys had a good spring camp-found the net a few times and didn't get run out of the rink by the 17 year olds. Hey Michigan it's all good anybody with a pulse had better get worked up over their hockey team lol.

superguide
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread I'm wondering if Jeff Friesen is going to get hot again in the playoffs-he's 5 for 5 in 7th games and has 5 goals in them. Anaheim was full value for the win-they just were the better team last night.

TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread From watching the game, it didn't sound like the Flames fans were into it last night. Sounded like the place was empty. I think the Oilers had the most rowdy crowd so far!

superguide
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread Muff that game gave every rec hockey player in Canada a glimmer of hope-That's got to be the most brutally played game defensively in a long time-the Avs spit the bit big time too. MUDRUNNER
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread I don't know that I've ever seen a playoff game like the Buffalo-Sens game.No goaltending or D.Both teams need to tighten it up a little. I fell asleep before the Avs and Sharks game was over.I hate when they play out west! The games don't start till 9 or 9:30 central time. fisherguy
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread I agree with muff's picks...except Ottawa. Hate to say my team is gonna lose, but after game 1 they would be better off wit me playing in goal or defense. I see yet another year where the senators choke in the playoffs. drkillemquick
Re: Official 2006 NHL Playoff/Stanley Cup thread unfortunately i think both Canadian teams are going to be out after this round. I think the teams going into the next round are Buffalo, New Jersey, San Jose and Colorado. With Buffalo and San Jose meeting in the finals!
