arrow32
Shot the bow again tonight and its making a wierd noise. Not sure what it is but its sure not normal. Might just be somthing on my bow like my sight or somthing hope thats all it is. I looked it over and nothing seemed wrong. Its not a thud noise but i cant really say what it is you just have to hear it. I dont have the money right now for it to be somthing serious. VtBowhunter
Re: Bows making a wierd noise Take the sights off and shoot your target up close and listen........I've found that some sights are really noisy no matter how tightly they're screwed on. If you have a drop-away rest, it could be the noise of the rest dropping.

buckee
Re: Bows making a wierd noise I found the most common "vibration twack" (best I can describe it) from my bow, has been from my quiver. A bit loose or a hair-line crack in the quiver mount
VtBowhunter
Re: Bows making a wierd noise Good point, Steve. Reminds me.....the more stuff on your bow, the more little noises you get, and they add up when you touch the shot off.

VtBowhunter
Re: Bows making a wierd noise arrows32, what king of quiver do you have.......id it's a Quicky Quiver, then the noise will most likely come from the receiver that's mounted to your bow. That little orange locking device will open and slap shut upon the release of the arrow, and it makes a pretty loud whack sound.

arrow32
Re: Bows making a wierd noise Vtbowhunter my quiver mount is a bohning thats the brand. As far as the quiver not sure girlfriends dad gave it to me.lol I thought it might be the thing that holds the quiver on when you have it on (like you said) so i taped it for a couple shots and it still made the noise. VtBowhunter
Re: Bows making a wierd noise Taping it won't do any good......the mechanism inside will make the noise. Try putting the quiver on (this will hold the mechanism in place) and see what happens.
