Need new cell phone service?

We're moving to NC in June and my wife hates her T-Mobile service. I use my AF cell phone, so just need for the wife and daughter.

Cingular has a plan for 2 phones, 700 anytime minutes plus nights and weekends for $58.00/month.

What do you all have that you're happy with and would recommend?

Thanks,

Craig

Re: Need new cell phone service?

I have US Cellular. I dont know if theyre up there.? Anyway, ive been with them for over 8-years. They have never done anything special for me but ive never had to fight with them either.

I get reception in places that most other carriers dont around here. If I were you id look at tower layouts and see who has the most in the are youre going to be in. Thats truly what makes for good service.

Re: Need new cell phone service?

Cingular has always been good to me. I get good nationwide coverage and I really like the roll over minutes. One time I was in Arizona and my phone died. I called cingular's 1-800 number and told them the situation, ya know, trucker, middle of the desert, I'll be here for 2 days waiting to deliver, don't know where I'm going next, yadda yadda yadda. Well, they overnighted me a new phone, free of cost, to the truck stop. I don't see me leaving Cingular anytime soon.

I have Verizon and I have signal problems with mine. I may or may not have signal depending where I am at and this is places that I use to have signal. It also cuts out at times for no reason. Mom's Verizon phone has no problems though.

Me too! Plus they screwed me on my contract, they added two months to my contract! GRRRRRR! I even have the papers saying when I signed the contract. I got it resolved, but I had to do a lot of complaining! Needless to say somewhere around the beginning of August the wife and I will be switching to Nextel. Nextel has good coverage in my area, I rarely leave Pennsylvania. Plus my entire family is using Nextel now.

archerjg, and anybody that has Verizon. Dial *228 send, choose the update roaming feature. It will take a few minutes, but it will update your phone to any new towers that were installed!
