My Photographs

I really like photography, and I've built up quite a collection of photos that I would like to share. I'm open to your suggestions or comments! smile.gif

This is in the woods right across the road from my house. It's right next to a stream.

This was taken from my front steps of my house as the sun was setting.

Taken in our cow pasture during the summertime.

This is my baby, Thumper. grin.gif He'll be fourteen in June! I've had him since I was three.

Here he is again. (He's a camera hog.)

I took these next two just this week. They're of the sunrise over our pond.

Here's the other one.

I also do pictures of people, too. This is my friend, Tiffany. I do all her hair and makeup, too.

Here she is again.

This is my eleven year old cousin, Ali, who is basically a miniature version of myself. Once again, all her hair and makeup was done by me. grin.gif

Well, I think that should be enough pictures. LOL! I'm sorry for the people like me who are on dial up. It will take forever to load the pictures. Well, maybe not. Please let me know what you think! grin.gif

Re: My Photographs

Very beautiful pictures. I love the colour of the sky in that first one especially. Sunsets and sunrises are hard to get. One minute the colours are there, the next minute they're gone. You pretty much have to have the camera in hand to get the best shots...eh

The cats cool, but the make-up pictures belong in the Ladies room ..LOL ...eh grin.gif

Oh, and you look good in a hat, but you need a new one grin.gif

Re: My Photographs

You have either studied photography a bit, or you're a natural when it comes to landscapes. Beautiful use of colour, scope and composure.

Now your portraits need some work IMHO. grin.gif

Lighten up on the makeup especially around the eyes, use a filter called a "diffuser" (it softens up the edges), and I'd also suggest opening up your f/stop and focus on the near eye of the person in the photo, that way the background is blurred and it will highlight the person more.

That's what I think. Aren't you glad you asked? grin.gif

Thank you grin.gif Well, no, I have taken no classes in photography or anything of the sort. I just see something, and if it looks pretty, then I take a picture! *lol* But, I make sure I have the positioning right and the background is nice.

As for the portraits of people, I don't have a very high tech photo editing program, it's just one that came with a webcam I used to have, and I use a digital camera to shoot all my photo's, and it doesn't have all those features. It's hard to get the lighting exactly right with the program, though, but I try to make it as easy around the eyes as I can, but it doesn't always work out quite as planned. mad.gif But, thank you for your suggestion! grin.gif

Re: My Photographs

Those are really good pictures. If your high school has a photography class, I think you should take it. It's a lot of fun(mostly because we just left class to "take pictures" and hang out with the people in study hall wink.gif) but I actually did learn some valuable and interesting things.

Well, I would say that if anyone were to run over Thumper, they had better watch out! mad.gif

I've had this cat for almost fourteen years of my life, so, it's going to be really hard for me when he dies. Even my dad and Shaun like him, so, he can't be that bad. smirk.gif

And he's a pimp:

Tominator, i didn't know you knew so much much about make-up??? lmbo!!! Great photos girl, you have some talent! I like your cat. I've have my cat for quite a few years also, probably close to 10! He's grey and white, maybe I'll get a photo up sometime.

I don't know squat about makeup, I just know a little aboooot photography and the makeup is a bit of a distraction to me, but that's just me I guess. My comments were intended to be free of malice, sorry if I offended. frown.gif
