ladyluck
Wisconsin's opening deer gun season started this past Saturday (11-20-04). I shot a real nice deer this year. It is the biggest I have shot with either my bow or gun. Too bad there wasn't any brow tines. It was an 18" 6 pt. I was in my afternoon stand for an hour when he come running around the corner. I panicked as I realized he was not going to go in front of my ladder stand but behind me offering me no shots. As he come barreling towards me I got my shot off. It is very wooded and I only got a small opportunity to decide to take the shot and then take it. He died right under my ladder stand. I was so excited!! Hope everyone else has done well with their deer seasons.

billygoat
Re: Opening day of gun season Way to go lady luck! Similiar sit, shot what would have been (and thought was) a big 8, except he had a busted right main beam (some beach)... such is life.
