wtnhunt
Have read some posts in the past about warts on deer, but honestly dont remember if anyone ever said it could cause any meat to be bad. The buck my wife killed had some small warts, not a lot, did not notice anything that seemed out of the ordinary inside when I was cutting the meat. Dont think it is anything to worry about, but just thought I would ask. I know I have had deer processed in the past that probably had warts, but seeing as how we processed this one ourselves I could not help but notice them and told her I would ask. Turkeygirl
Re: warts on deer hide I read an article one time about deer that had warts, saw one my self actually a couple years ago. I think the article said they don't do anything to the meat. Probably similar to the wart type things that horses sometimes get. My horse has a few under his tail and on his chin but they don't interfere with my horse's functions so he's alright, lol
