vagobbln
Quaker Boy is offering NWTF chapters a deal on a couple of their seed blends. Northern Forage 15 Plus and Fall Feast are the two that are part of this offer. I've never heard of either. Does anybody have any experience with either of these? The price is cut about 60%, so it's a pretty good deal if the shipping doesn't eat you up. Link to brochure is QB Seed. Thanks in advance for any comments. Bond
Re: Quaker Boy Seed? I tried some of the 15 plus. I put it in a small wooded foodplot and it worked great. It was mostly annuals, so I planted it with some clover. Here it is the first year - You can see the rye grass and the broadleaf plants are brassicas. The second year, all that came back was clover. It's three years old now and the clover is still thick and healthy. I'm not sure what it would look like if I didn't add any clover, it might come up a little thinner the following year. LETMGROW
Re: Quaker Boy Seed? Brassicas are an annual. They wont come back unless planted again. Overcasting seed may help.
Bond
Re: Quaker Boy Seed? I know but the 15 plus has some clover, perrennial rye grass and other perennials in it. Only the clover came back and if I didn't add any, I think the clover would've been really thin the next year.
