Guest PAWhitetailhunter19
Here in southeast PA in the last couple weeks with everything becoming green, the deer appear to have little interest in the corn in front of the cam... Is this usual?
Tominator
Re: Corn? With the availability of tons more browse now, no, I don't think that's unusual at all.
Mirage
Re: Corn? they have more to choose from. if all you had all winter was bark and a little corn you would be eating some of that green too...hahah they will come back

KTMMIKE
Re: Corn? I see that happen every year here. Do you have a mineral site? That would another option. Mine are getting hit pretty good right now.

birddog
Re: Corn? Salt licks....They'll be more interested in a salt block: Put it out where you had the corn, and you will get the deer pics of them licking the salt rather than eating the corn....Pretty common I think. Tom2008
Re: Corn? I think if its there they'll eat it. They probably take any chance they can to get food.
Guest PAWhitetailhunter19
Re: Corn? yeah, im going into experimenting with different mineral licks and combinations, they are a little more expensive but it is better than feeding the racoons corns, unless they are going to develope antlers soon... Have any of you used "Block Topper"... this stuff is crazy... it makes a eall strong scent and a crazy reaction....
wishinone
Re: Corn? I get two or three days sometimes with the deer touching the corn now, the pictures of the deer I'm getting now they are shedding pretty good and look motley as heck. Guest bowhunter56
Re: Corn? i have read that corn does not have that much nutrition value for a deer, perhaps on the stalk it does, but not hard shelled corn, and yes deer here in pa are loosing their winter coats also. [/ QUOTE ] Nope, corn does not offer much nutritional value to deer, but it does help some to get them in front of a camera.
