buckee
Here is a New Link for that Eagles Nest, here where I live. http://www.infotecbusinesssystems.com/wildlife The eggs are just about to hatch guys, so keep an eye on it. This thing is in our local paper every week now. The Bald Eagles nest is on Hornby Island, just south of where I live. This Eagle Pair have mated for life and been mates for 19 years now. They have been nesting on the island every year. The neighbour David Carrick, quietly kept an eye on the pair for the past 14 years. In September of 2004, a video camera was placed less than a foot from the nest, (with permission from the government) while the eagles were away on their annual migration. For the past month, from dawn till dusk, the live show keeps eagle addists glued to their computer screens. At night they reply the video feed from the previous day. Please be patient. It takes a while sometimes for the video video to open. Ussually you will get the sound, before the video. Enjoy

buckee
Re: Bald Eagle Cam (New Link) I couldn't get the cam up most of the day today, until around 7:30 this evening. My buddy Ken just sent me this, that explains why we all are having problems. [ QUOTE ] Hi Steve i just got this off the eagle cam forums maybe it will be up and running soon Posted: Sun Apr 30, 2006 3:50 pm Post subject: Technical Problems with Telus line on Hornby -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've been in touch with Telus and they tell me there is a problem with "a server" which is causing major packet loss on one of the two lines we have into Doug's home - the one the video encoder is on. I'm in the process of trying to get the encoder to talk out its other port to the second line - something we have the line for, but have not yet had to do. Telus does not have an estimate of the time to fix the problem The second line does not seem to be affected. We're still capturing video live locally, and Doug is watching for any signs of the eggs hatching. If he sees any I'll pull pictures out and show them no matter what. buckee
Re: Bald Eagle Cam (New Link) There is a big mystery going on now, with the nest. Yesterday morning, there was only one egg in the nest and no-one can figure out what happened to egg #2. It looks like it disappeared during the night somehow ?????? There was a big write-up in the local paper about it too.
