yesterday i was working out at the horse stables cleaning stalls, and this girl who is just dumb is always out there with her horses, well yesterday i was working and she took her horse out of the stall and instead of tying it up to like the hundreds of steel bars on the outside of the stalls she decided to tie her 1100 pound horse up to a 6 foot step ladder hanging on the wall, and of course bout 5 minutes ladder i look over and there goes the horse running down the hall way dragging a ladder behind it and it ran outside to one of the pastures and the girl instead of trying to grab the lead rope on the horse tries to grab the ladder while its being dragged yeah like that worked finally she got the common sense to grab the lead rope, ill tell ya what people these days

sounds like a stupid thing to do. it was good that it didn't cost the horse his life in the panic...

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah, no kidding. Ussually when something like that happens to an animal, they don't have the sense to understand what is going on. They think they are being chased by the rumbling object behind them, as it noisily bounces along. The faster they run, the louder it gets and the more paniced they get.

Lucky the horse didn't go crashing through a fence or something. ooo.gif

Re: some people are just stupid

The only stupid person is someone with no guidance. Be her friend and maybe people will see that she can learn to be more thoughtful. My best friend is one of those people that everyone likes because he sees the good parts and is patient with the bad ones.

hmmm kk maybe she just read the tempermant of the horse wrong ... I have seen lotsa horse not have to be tied off to anything and they stay right there ... anyhow as long as nobody got hurt I would say lesson learned ... how old was the girl.

Gotta agree with Steve here. Our old gelding, you can drop the lead rope and tell him to stand and he will under normal circumstances stay there after you walk off. You can tie him off, but dont have to.

Maybe she learned her horse better from this.
