wheelin99xj
Re: Maybe Moving to Joplin, Missouri I live in Joplin, the 3d is okay depending on what you are comparing it to I guess there are 2 clubs that are within 30 minutes, Avilla and Neosho both pretty good local shoots. The hunting can be good it all depends on if you find a good piece of land that is private, which can be tough. There are a few public places that can have good deer and turkey on but they are hunted pretty hard. PM me and tell me about your move and I will try to give you more information on any questions you have.

dg
Re: Maybe Moving to Joplin, Missouri Thanks y'all. Unless something changes quick, I'm headed to Missouri in about 3 weeks. I'll miss the family, but someday they'll move out. Just too many things going on with school, college, etc. But when the door of oppurtunity knocks, it's time to go. BowtechsWife
Re: Maybe Moving to Joplin, Missouri Good luck with the move...I can't provide any recent information, however 17 years ago my father lived in Goodman, Mo (near Neosho not extremly far from Joplin). He had private land and had great hunting experiences.
Guest warrior_8301
Re: Maybe Moving to Joplin, Missouri I'm from Neosho and would have to agree with wheelin on the hunting oppurtunities. It can be hard to find private land but can be done with a little effort. You may have to travel a little to find some if you don't want hunt public land. I do most of my hunting in South Central MO but that is just because we own some property there. As for the 3d shooting, I've only been to the Neosho one a couple of times. Seems popular, there are usually lots of people there. Correct me if I'm wrong wheelin, but I think they have their 3d shoots the last Sunday of each month. Also there are great fishing oppurtunies near Joplin. Grand Lake, Stockton Lake, and Table Rock Lake can all be reached in less than an hour and a half. Good luck on the move and I hope you like SW Missouri. I know I do!!
Ambuscher
Re: Maybe Moving to Joplin, Missouri When you get there you must eat at Timberline. It's located on Rangeline. I always get the smoke shack avalanche. MMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMM GOOD
