.........unless, as I understand it, said participant has approved by Team Realtree to do so. Jeff Foiles is a member of Team Realtree and produces the Advantage MAX-4 Falllin' Skies waterfowl DVD series. So, I'm guessing his post and link are cool. wink.gif

Re: Fallin Skies 3

Jeff, I don't mean to be critical but I would like to see more hunting and less BANG, BANG...BANG, BANG, BANG...BANG, BANG in the Fallin Skies videos. I realize the title is "Fallin Skies" but I would like to see more calling, dog work, and actual setup for a hunt. I did not purchase FS2 because of this reason. Unless I hear that FS3 is any different, I probably won't purchase it either. I may be in the minority here and please don't be angry...I'm just trying to provide some constructive feedback from my vantage point.

Re: Fallin Skies 3

I think Yopu will like this one a little better, it has a little different twist, a lot of dog work and a little more callin and watchin birds, don't get Me wrong it has a LOT of killin in it. Here is the deal, I film for 5 long hard months across the US and Canada and We get a lot ofootage. It all gets put into a 80 minute DVD along with commercials and Thanks to sponsers and The great Guys that let us hunt at their clubs. If We have the footage We try and show the best part, the part We all gop for. A lot of videos do a lot of talking just because They do Not have any good footage or didn't kill much and They are taking Up time just to sell the video. Beleive Me I would love to have another 2-3 hour video showing it all but that is not the format We are under as of now.

Hope You try this one and really enjoy it. thanks and GOOD HUNTIN!!! Jeff

Re: Fallin Skies 3

I agree---I really enjoy watching the pros use their calls--heck i'm known grab my duck or goose call when watching and practice my calling while watching the calls. And being a dog man I really enjoy watching the dogs work also. I bet it is hard to edit down hours and hours of video for a 1 1/2 hour video.

RTF, no problem. Delete my post if you wish. Not being a mod, I'm not exactly privy to who's approved to hawk their products here.

Jeff, something I've always been curious about...when you pros hunt hard throughout the season and across the continent...what do you do with all the birds you kill? Do groups like "Hunters for the Hungry" take waterfowl? A guy can only eat so much waterfowl in a week... grin.gif

Re: Fallin Skies 3

Clayman, I am really glad You asked as there is a clip on Fallin Skies 3 that adresses that issue. Beleive Me sometimes it is hard when You are actually killin 40- ducks and 40-50 geese a day. One of the things We do here in Alberta is give them to the landowners that the outfitter has permission on and most of thye time he has salami made out of them and gives it to them all and to homeless at Christmas. I ands My crew Help if not do all the cleaning EVERY day. I really don't mind. I have been all over Canada freelancing and all I ever did was go around town and You will most always find a single parent workin a gas station or resterant that will take them if You clean them. In other areas We do the same just find someone who wants them and clean them for them. Gerber is a sponser so I always got a sharp knife Ha! Ha! and really I don't mind cleanin Geese or ducks. In Colorado We even have a coyote hunter who wants all the carcases so anywhere You go someone willl shake Your hand for them. I enjoy ducks and geese and was rfaiseed on eatin mallards and river fish, but You can only eat so much. Again Thanks for aski and GOOD HUNTIN!!! Jeff

Re: Fallin Skies 3

jeff--i hope you are monitoring the forum still.

I finished watching FS3--lots of birds killed and some great camera work. I really enjoyed watching the yellow dog work---that boy put some hurt on some geese.

Being more of a duck hunter I would enjoy seeing more duck hunting--seemed 90% of the footage was goose hunting. I would also like to see more water hunting--nothing like seeing falling ducks hit the water.

good job on the video
