IowaDeerHunter
Re: Does anyone know... Yep the Knife Handle Buck from Iowa. It would have roughly scored 238" I think. A farmer had found a bunch of sheds and had them piled in his barn or somewhere. And a guy, who might have been his helper, asked him about them and the farmer said he could have them all except the big set, which was this buck. Years later a taxidermist recreated the antlers and if ever shot it would have blwon by the hanson buck for typical world record.
Guest steeleyes
Re: Does anyone know... It is indeed the Knife Handle Buck found in Iowa. Estimated gross score is 238 inches. As the story goes, a turtle trapper stopped by a farmer's place to ask permission to trap turtles. The farmer had a pile of shed antlers laying out and the trapper asked the farmer if he could have them. The farmer agreed but wanted to keep one shed for knife handles. The shed he kept, was the matching side to the single in the photo. That shed scores 112 inches and is the World Record Typical shed.
