kuntryboy Posted May 6, 2006 Report Share Posted May 6, 2006 My wife use to hunt and fish with her dad and with me when we were dateing , but marriage ,house and 2 kids (4years and 9months ) later, she has lost intrest in it . I know she just don't have the time now ,but i would like to keep her involved some how for the future (of us )!! anny ideas would be welcome! Do I have the desire YES, but at the moment my biggest priorty is the kids. Not to mention I work a 40+ hour week and volunteer, so the thought of getting up at 4:30 a.m. isn't so appealing anymore....okay you didn't ask for my story - you wanted my idea...Here it is - TALK to your wife tell her you desire to spend time with her hunting. ASSIST with getting house chores done, ARRANGE for a sitter and ASK her again to go hunting. I work away from home 14 days on and 14 days off , I guess i can get selfish during hunting season because i am missing half of it already !! I dont want her to feel left out , she has lost touch with most of her friends and i run off hunting/fishing and she is left with the kids !! I try to do more bow and muzzleloader hunting and take my daughter on the youth hunt, and give the wife more time during the rifle season.
