Guest TerryH
I am going to buy a new bow. I can get the Ross CR331 with the STS system for $599.00. Does the STS system help very much on a bow that supposed to be quiet and forgiving?
tedicast
Re: STS on Ross Bow Yes, I believe it does. I shot my Outback for well over a year, and was always thrilled with the quietness, and the lack of hand shock. My bro got me an STS for my birthday, and I was amazed, at how much quieter the bow seems, and how much less shock I felt on the shot. And, i didn't lose a single fps. craig mack
Re: STS on Ross Bow I never heard of Ross bows before this year. Did they just come out? I seen one at the bow shop and they looked like nice bows.
Leo
Re: STS on Ross Bow On my Bowtech the less stuff that's on the string the better it works. That includes string silencers!! So my bow actually got quieter and faster. I wondered how I would do without the front stabilizer on. Works great! Since the Stabilizer weighed more than the STS the bow got lighter too. That's how it worked out on my setup anyhow. But based on that experience I would sure try it on any bow in the future.

Bow Hunter Derek
Re: STS on Ross Bow Ross makes an impressive bow. I've shot them and they are sweet. As for adding an STS, I'd say go for it. I shoot a Switchback XT and just for fun I put an STS on it not expecting much improvement. Boy was I wrong. The STS made my XT even quieter and more dead in the hand. Guest tyshe17
Re: STS on Ross Bow I would get the STS...I think it is great for hunting bc it will keep the string from getting your clothes in cold weather...also if you can keep from having to put string silences on then that will save you some speed.
