buckee
Another cam is up and running again on a new nest on the coast near Vancouver BC. There are two baby eaglets in it too. This is a link that will take you there by way of win media player directly cut and past to the address bar of your browser and click go . mms://array.galaxytelevision.net/hh001 This one is live and doesn't play back the previous days events like the last one did, so when it's dark, it's night-time (Thanks KenW ) Here also is the link that "Wishinone" posted in the other Eagle thread: http://www.wdfw.wa.gov/wildwatch/eaglecam/index.html

OJR
Re: ***New West Coast \"BALD-EAGLE CAM\" *** The one eaglet seems to be bigger than the other one and it is at the head of the pecking order! I wouldn't be surprised if in a few days, there will be only one in the nest!!
doughboy1956
Re: ***New West Coast \"BALD-EAGLE CAM\" *** It must take a different software to view the second link. It will not show the nest for me. Have to find out what i need and purchase it. Anyone know?

Shaun_300
Re: ***New West Coast \"BALD-EAGLE CAM\" *** That's pretty neat! Last time I saw this a while back and the chicks hadn't hatched yet, now I see them! Looks like momma has something on the side of the nest all ripped to shreds for dinner... The mother isn't there right now, she must be out rounding up some more food.
Guest whitetailarcher
Re: ***New West Coast \"BALD-EAGLE CAM\" *** Wow the mom just came back with some food. As she was tearing it up and feeding it to the bigger dominant chick, the other one tried to get some food and the bigger one pretty much just started pecking and attacking the other one! Guest Andrea
Re: ***New West Coast \"BALD-EAGLE CAM\" *** It obviously doesn't bother the mother that all kinds of little birds keep coming and sitting on the edge of the nest. It almost looks as if they are chatting with one another. "So, how are the babies this morning Mrs. Eagle?"............................... [/ QUOTE ] The little ones are hiding behing the tree trunk or they have both fallen out of the nest! The last I saw them, they were going behind the tree trunk! Mother is gathering food! One of the eaglets is really small and isn't getting anything to eat because the big ones shoves it out of the way!

OJR
Re: ***New West Coast \"BALD-EAGLE CAM\" *** It is unbelieveable as to how fast these things are growing! I swear they increase by about 1/4 every day! How can anything so ugly turn into to something so pretty?? Fun to watch!!
buckee
Re: ***New West Coast \"BALD-EAGLE CAM\" *** I noticed that this morning when I checked in on them. They look twice the size they were 3 days ago.

[/ QUOTE ] It is unreal as to how fast they are growing. The little one might make it! However, it just about did itself in by getting real close to the edge of the nest! I thought it was a goner, but it turned around and went back into the hole that the adult has dug out! Quite a show, I must say!!!

OJR
Re: ***New West Coast \"BALD-EAGLE CAM\" *** That is the first time I have seen both adults at the nest at the same time! The first one brought in a rabbit, I think, and the second one brought in something else to eat. The first adult ate the whole works! The 2 little ones ate the rabbit and they are both very full! I am sure they are going to sleep good tonight! I think the smaller one is going to make it! Hope so!

IS that just a feather that is blowing in the breeze in the background of the streaming WMP file...there is some othe bird that is just annoying it wont shutup [/ QUOTE ] The adults come and go with food! The last couple of days, one of them has been hanging around the nest more and the other one has been bringing the food! Today, it seems they are both getting food! The little ones cleaned up a small fish in about 3 minutes this morning! Tail, fins and all! Nothing wasted!! LOL!! That is a feather from one of the adults! It dropped off the other day while it was feeding the little ones! I think it is just the way the sun hits it that makes it look all white! That sound you hear, I think it is the little ones chirping! It is constant except when they are sleeping! Interesting to watch!!
